Painting With Lauren is a senior focused, monthly painting class. I offer a 2 hour workshop in which residents leave each class with their own 8 x 10 inch painting on stretched canvas. Our seniors get the chance to engage in activities that help keep the mind sharp and promote dexterity in a setting that is fun, casual and social.

No experience? No problem! Each month’s painting is carefully selected, with each lesson crafted specifically with our seniors in mind. Broken down into easy to follow step-by-step directions, residents will be guided patiently through the project and are encouraged to add in their own personal touches.

social/fun atmosphere

The goal in my classes is enjoyment. Painting should be fun, relaxing, and pressure free. Residents are encouraged to chat, to ask questions, to engage with other painters and share what they are creating.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does it cost?

    The cost of each class is $200.00, which for a full class (12 residents) averages a little more than $16.00 per painter. This covers your two hour senior-focused workshop and all necessary supplies. Each resident leaves the class with their own 8”x10” painting on stretched canvas.

  • What supplies are included?

    Included in each class are acrylic paints (premixed and customized for each individual lesson), paint brushes, sleeve covers to protect clothing, table covers to keep tabletops clean, paper napkins, water cups for cleaning brushes, and paint palettes.

  • What do I need to provide?

    All I need from you is a space to work and access to water! An ideal set up includes a larger room with enough table space for a class of 12 adults to fit comfortably (see the photos in the Gallery section for past set ups)

  • What Covid precautions are in place?

    Safety is the number one priority. Every resident will be set up with their own materials - no sharing involved! All reusable supplies are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each class. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and I am happy to provide proof of vaccination if needed.

  • How many residents can participate in each class?

    Each lesson has a maximum head count of 12 residents. I strive to connect with and guide each of our participants, and going above that number reduces the quality of the class and what each individual can achieve in the 2 hour time slot.

  • Do I need to commit to every month?

    Not at all! A new painting is taught each month, but that doesn’t mean you have to schedule a class that often.
